Spray Dryer / Chiller 
 
Spray Drying is the most advanced instant drying and chilling process to engineer a particle and formulate in a single step. The ProCepT R&D Spray Dryer is a complete process tool that generates reliable, repeatable and scalable results in a minimum of time.
Unique features are:
  • Stainless steel head with supporting structure for the glass column
  • Integrated on a trolley, wall mounted or on a fixed table/floor stand
  • Easily accessible and visible glass process column and cyclone set-up

Lab Filter Dryer

Fully integrated and automated “glass” lab scale Filter Dryer. For early stage filtration and drying kinetic studies of API / NCE, scale up and process validation. Nutsche filter for filter cakes between diameter 8-20 cm. 
Features:
  • Variable speed impeller with telescopic movement, turning clock and anti-clockwise
  • Flanged jacketed stainless steel cover
  • Flanged jacketed stainless steel bottom plate with universal filter media system
  • Glass jacketed process vessel internal diameter 13 cm (2 liter slurry)
  • Optionally a 8 cm (1 liter) and 20 cm (5 liter) set-up can be integrated in same unit
  • Dried API: between 30- 2.500 g
  • Cake height is Min. 2 cm and Max. 10 cm
  • Glass vessel can have 2 bar overpressure (Optionally 6-10 bar steel process vessel)
  • Process temperatures between -10 till 95 DegC

Fluidbed -  Drying,  Coating  & Agglomeration 
 
Fluid Bed processing equipment is used for granulation, drying and coating of powders, pellets or spheres. Depending on vessel size, the typical batch range varies from 50g to 1kg of product.  The ProCepT Fluid Bed is the ideal equipment for formulation R&D, demonstration, or education purposes .

Super critical CO2 extraction 
Liquid CO2 from the storage is pressurized, heated and transferred to the extractor, where it gets loaded according to adjusted conditions. A change of these conditions (pressure, temperature) causes precipitation of the dissolved substances in the separation vessels. The now gaseous CO2 is condensed, intermediately stored and recycled again.

Gases in fluid condition (above the critical pressure and the critical temperature) dissolve larger quantities of substances than the partial pressure of the substance in the solvent normally permits
CO2 is an UNPOLAR solvent, which results in a high solubility for non polar and low polar substances up to a molecular weight of 250
Solubility decreases with increasing polarity
High polar substances are insoluble
The raw material is exposed to the fluid and soluble substances are transferred into it
Separation is achieved by change of parameters or adsorption
